Meet Claire

Thirteen years in finance. A charity boxing match. And a decision to back herself.

Claire spent over a decade building a career in finance. Sport and fitness had always been part of her life, from playing sports as a child and through college, to getting back into training seriously after the birth of her second child. But it was a charity boxing challenge that changed everything.

She walked into an old-school boxing gym packed with around 40 men. She was the only woman there. Before she'd even thrown a punch, the coach picked her to lead her group.

There she was, standing in front of five men, trying to project confidence she wasn't sure she had. Inside, she was terrified. She didn't let it show.

She turned up for the next session and walked straight in, high-fiving everyone like she'd been there for years.

That experience taught her something she now tells every woman who walks through the door at Goal Rooms: confidence doesn't come before you do something scary. It comes after. You have to be comfortable with feeling uncomfortable.

Over those ten weeks she also discovered a genuine passion for coaching and helping others reach their potential. After 13 years in finance, she made the decision to take a risk, believe in herself, and build a business around that passion. Goal Rooms was the result.

Why Women-Only

Honestly, it wasn't the original plan.

Claire set out to create a nurturing, comfortable environment where fitness became part of people's lives rather than a chore they dreaded. What she attracted was women. Real women who related to her, supported each other, and kept coming back.

She realised quickly that women-only wasn't just a detail. It was the whole point. When women train without the pressure of a mixed environment, something shifts. They push harder. They ask questions. They support each other without comparison. They come back.

“That's the environment Goal Rooms is built around. Not because training needs to be softened for women, but because the right environment produces better results.”

More Than a Gym

Goal Rooms had been open for five months when lockdown was announced.

Claire had watched women build routines, connections, and confidence in those five months. She knew what losing that suddenly could do. So she invited six women to join an online session to keep moving and stay connected.

Six became twenty. Twenty became fifty. Eventually more than 200 women joined what became the Goal Rooms Stay@Home Bootcamp.

It was never just about fitness. Women checked in on each other, shared their struggles and wins, found accountability, and had a reason to get up and keep going during one of the most difficult periods any of them had experienced.

That experience confirmed what Claire had always believed: people need more than workouts. They need support, connection, and somewhere they genuinely feel they belong.

Goal Rooms has always been that place. The lockdown just made it impossible to ignore.

What Claire Wants For You

After your first session, Claire wants you to feel like you've done something for yourself. Proud. Capable. Ready to come back.

She wants you to understand that giving an hour to your own fitness is not indulgent. It's not selfish. It's the best thing you can do for yourself, and the excuses that have been getting in the way are exactly that. Excuses.

You don't need confidence before you start. You build it by showing up.
